Halloween Haunted House

I didn’t get to post as much as I wanted to this past (2013) Halloween because I spent every extra minute and lots of other hours work at a Haunted House that did a review on last year. The part I played was “Leatherface” from the “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” franchise. It had been something that I had always wanted to do. The first half of the season was the hardest because it was still hot. I was not use to the weight of the chainsaw and having to crank it up every 5 minutes for 5 hours a night. It was extremely hot due to it always hot in SC. But I lived. Right now with it being at the end of the year, I am planning on a redesign of the “Texas” house in order for it to have a different layout and different “scream” areas. It will be much more gorier than ever before. I love horror movies and I love to create areas that make you scared before the scare happens. It’s all about the buildup before the big scare. I will post updates here as well as Lego creations. I will post pictures of the process while we are working it. I have tons of ideas and sketches that I need to upload. The tear down of the old will start in Febuary. Thats is not soon enough for me by I don't own the place. So I wait and design.

10228 Lego Haunted House

The Lego set 10228 is over 2,000 pieces. The suggested age is 14 and up. It is the biggest set that I have gotten in the past 12 years. The house is designed to be really sturdy. I have carried it around my house to see the durability. Some sets would just fall apart or become loose. Not this set. After building this one, I plan to buy several more buildings like this. I was very impressed with this set. I give it 5 out of 5 bricks. The mini figs that come with this set are extremely interesting. There are 2 glow in the dark ghost, a Dracula, a Frankenstein's monster, a Mrs. Dracula, and my favorite a Zombie chief. There are a few items that are scattered around the attic. I have included a few pictures.

MADWORLD Haunted Attracrtion & Zombie Shoot

Last night we were part of the first victims to go through a frightening display of human carnage.

My head hurts

I see ou have been thinking of food.
Me too

As we walk to the ticket counter, walking down the roped area there were two corpses hanging on the fence of the main entrance. After the main entrance to the left is where you buy tickets to one or the other on cheaper to buy both tickets to the walk through Haunted attraction and/or Zombie shoot. One of the oddest things about it, is they give you an electronic beeper like given out at area restaurants. That way you can wonder the area sit by the bonfire. They have hot dogs, BBQ, and boiled peanuts. This area is where you can meet a few of the creatures that are there to get into your brain. I have been to many haunts in my life and this one has to be one of the best.

Problem?
Look at the brain on this guy...

The kid on the left looks a little scared.

The Zombie Shoot is a great idea and these guys know how to do it right. The video gives you an idea of why you are there and what you have to do in order to get out alive. It is a must do.

A fresh new start 2012

It is a fresh new start even if it is at the end of September. I just received my first blogging check from Google. I have been "trying" to blog for close to two years now. There have finally been enough views and clicks to this for them to write me a check. So when that happened I felt that I had to start again and blog.
My wife calls it "found money" so I can do and spend it on anything I wanted. So think I'm getting a couple of new sets of Lego. The new haunted house set and one other set. I will post pictures and a review of the set right here in time for Christmas shopping.
Also before the end of the year, my wife and I are going to be building and blogging a house on wheels. A tiny house. We are currently looking for the right size trailer. After that major purchase, we will start designing and building. I can't wait for that one.
Please check back for all these and a lot more.
