Legos Legos Legos

Everyone knows what Legos are, at least I hope if you are over the age of 5 you do. Legos are the little plastic toys that when you were growing up, all you could build was little houses and square cars. Over the past several years they have grow in ideas and cost. With the added sets including Star Wars, Indiana Jones and a few other movie themes, the Lego world has exploded. I for one bought a set of non-Lego plastic block building set. I was not happy but that is all my budget would allow me to buy. That has been 14 years ago and I will never buy any other set than Lego Brand.
For Christmas I received a few set and had put them all together. I will add a few pictures of other sets that I have gotten in the past once I can reconstruct them. The older sets have been taken apart and mixed together with other sets. So now I have to go through them and sort them out. My loving wife hates when the room is filled with Lego pieces. I have so many that I can't get them all sorted out fast enough.
So without anymore problems how about a few pictures.

Zombies and the walking dead

During my youth there have been a few "Zombie" movies. over the past ten years there have been a large group of both great looking and some not so great looking. Today there has been a graphic novel turn to a TV show being shown on AMC. The Walking Dead is a great show and based on a few podcasts that I heard the show has double and triplied in the audience base. The make up and FX are above any TV show I've seen. I have yet to buy any of the graphic novels. I do plan to get a few before next season starts, and I put on my Christmas list. I don't want to read beyond what is playing on TV. I have only looked through one of the graphic novels and it looks really detailed.
With my background being in graphic design, the art and detail in the pictures that I've seen look great.
I have a small story line that I will work through and I will put it together and try to apply art to it.
I'm not say that Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard don't do a great job through Robert Kirkman story.
While I was doing some research for this project I found this animated The Walking Dead short film. I looks great aswell.

What the Plan is...

Today being Tuesday December 7th 2010, is marked as the first entry to my Blog, My mark on the internet.
The ultimate long term goal of this blog is to pay for my Stormtrooper Armor that will be designed and built through this blog. I have ask someone from my local 501st Legion and I'm still waiting on an answer back from them. I have on the other hand been able to get plenty of help through the Internet from over seas.

  My steps would start...
  1. Design and build the vacuum table
  2. Design and build the Armor vacuum forms
  3. Trouble shoot and pull the plastic.
  4. Trim the Armor
  5. Look for Black under clothes
  6. Shop for white Armor boots
  7. Put them all together.
  8. Show it off as MANY places as I can without getting arrested.
I will be putting Pictures and step by step instructions on this blog with prices on materials and if I bought anything on-line, there will be a link posted. I will put as much information as I can so the next person won't have the trouble I have to go through.
